Matunkha Centre
Future Vision Malawi (FVM) is a Christian NGO registered in Malawi in 1995. Since its beginning the organization focusses on the improvement of the living circumstances of orphans, vulnerable children and their guardians, in all spiritual, physical, social and psychological aspects.
In Malawi FVM is a member of the "Evangelical Association of Malawi" (EAM), the "Council for Non-Governmental Organisaties in Malawi" (CONGOMA) and of the "NGO Board".

FVM selected Rumphi District and chose "the Matunkha Centre" as a name for the location and the activities. Apart from activities in Mzimba North, FVM is uniquely operating in Rumphi District. The Centre is situated 2.5 km from Rumphi Boma on the road direction Bolero and Nyika National Park.

- To assist communities to meet their needs through a process of participation and self help.

The Matunkha Centre
The Matunkha Centre exists to reduce suffering experienced by orphans and promote a child friendly environment at village level in which all children receive quality care, support, protection, nutrition, education and shelter to grow and develop physically, psychologically, socially and spiritually to their full potential.

Toerism
To generate local income for its activities, the Matunkha Centre has started a Tourism Programme. A restaurant and accommodation have been established at the Centre and together with local communities an eco-tourism programme has been started.
